  • Due to this years economic conditions, Willamette Valley Pop Warner recognizes that it may be difficult to pay for your childs registration fee. The Board of Directors have voted and unanimously approved a reduction in this years registration fees. All Board Members believe that team sports play a vital role in the development of our youth.
  • New to the 2009 season, WVPW and all associations will be honoring families of deployed soldiers. Any child of a deployed soldier who wishes to participate in Willamette Valley Pop Warner Football can do so and the registration fees will be waived. See the FAQ for requirements.

Rob Comer - "RC - Strength & Courage"

• Who is Rob Comer? Rob has been a Board Member for almost as long as Willamette Valley Pop Warner has existed. He has volunteered countless hours for the organization. We are all very thankful for his time and energy that he has given for the kids.
• Rob was not only a son, brother, husband, father, coach and co-worker - he was a great friend.
• Rob has battled cancer for the past 4 years, and today he lost that battle.
• The Board of Directors for Willamette Valley Pop Warner would like to wish the Comer Family the best during their time of need ~ all of our prayers are with you!
• Effective immediately the annual Jamboree that starts our season off will be known as the "Comer Jamboree".

2009 Physical Fitness Exams

• Physical fitness exams and medical history information is a required item to play Pop Warner Football. WVPW has made the below dates available for families to get Physical Fitness Exams. The cost is $30 (CASH ONLY). Families can use this time to get the needed physical or use a physician of their choice (Dr. Charles Anderson will be the physician on-site for the WVPW event).
• Date & Times: Friday Jul 31st 6PM to 9PM, Saturday Aug 1st 9AM to 6PM and Sunday Aug 2nd 9AM to 3PM

End of Season Message(s)

• First and foremost, we want to congratulate all the athletes in a great 2008 season. WVPW would like to thank all the athletes, parents, fans, officials and volunteers on a successful season.
• Equipment Message
  • This is a reminder that all equipment needs to be turned back into the head coach by November 30th. When returning your equipment, please make sure to get a receipt (save this receipt). Failure to turn in equipment will result in an invoice being sent in the amount of $350. If the payment has not been made by the beginning of the 2009 registration, your child will not be allowed to register.
  • Equipment that needs to be returned: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Practice Jersey, Practice Pants and Game Pants

2008 Pop Warner Autzen Stadium - DVD Ordering

• If you missed your chance to order a DVD of your child's experience at Autzen Stadium, you can do so online via our eStore. DVD's are $31 and include the entire game, highlights and coaches interviews. Our final DVD order will be placed on December 8, 2008. All order must be placed by 6PM on Sunday December 7th. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

Important Notice Regarding Turf Fields

• Willamette Valley Pop Warner would like to remind all players, coaches and parents that our use of the area turf fields is a privilege and not a right. With this said, we encourage you to read the policy on the policy regarding the use of 4J Turf Fields - you can access the policy by clicking here.
• WVPW has a zero tolerance when it comes to violations to this policy - for we can not risk losing the privilege to play on these fields. Therefore, any individual caught chewing sunflower seeds or peanuts on a turf field will be dismissed from the rest of this years Pop Warner events (this includes non-turf field games).

Required Paperwork for the 2008 WVPW Football Season

1. Copy of your players Birth Certificate
2. 2008 Physical on a Pop Warner Physical Form (available here)
3. Copy of your players 4th Quarter Grades (2007-08 School Year)

ALL this information needs to be turned in to your Coach or Team Manager.

ALL of this information is required before your player is eligible to practice or participate in any way.

Jamboree a Success!

• WVPW would like to thank Thurston High School and the Thurston Colts football team for the use of the facilities and great officiating. Having such a large facility allowed us to play our games closer together not allowing for the kids to relax down after each game.
• We would also like to thank all of the volunteers that made this day possible - nothing but smiling faces.

• If you answered this questions with yes, you are required to complete the WVPW Purchased Helmet Waiver before the helmet can be used during a practice or a game. This waiver should be saved in the team book.

Mandatory Coaches Meeting

• Directions: Directions: From West Eugene take Franklin Boulevard East turn Right at Onyx
  Bridge. This dumps you off in a parking lot. Parking is available at spaces
  marked reserved M - F 7am - 6pm (SO FROM 6pm on it is Open to anyone). DO
  NOT PARK AT SPACES MARKED RESERVED AT ALL TIMES (THEY WILL BE TOWED).
  Parking option #2 turn left on Onyx Bridge and park in the Faculty Staff lot
  just across the small bridge (first lot on left). We can put up signs on the
  building to direct people. I have attached a campus map which I identified
  parking and the building location.

Willamette Valley Sports Performance and Conditioning Clinics

Speed & Quickness are the most significant factors in athletic success. To maximize your body’s performance, you must understand your body’s strengths and weaknesses.

In these clinics, we will identify and correct inefficient body movement patterns & flexibility limitations and enhance efficient body movement patterns and flexibility through a series of drills and exercises designed to maximize athletic performance!

Session 1- Sheldon High School

• Friday, June 20th 5:00pm to 7:30pm

• Saturday, June 21st 9:30am to 12:00pm    

Session 2- North High School

• Tuesday, June 24th 5:00pm to7:30pm  

• Thursday, June 26th 5:00pm to 7:30pm 

Cost for each session: $60 or $100 for both and are for ages 10-18

Youth Football Coaches Clinic - The 2008 Youth Programs Coaches Clinic is designed to help teach coaches the fundamentals of football techniques, drills, and structure. The program is instructed by the University of Oregon football coaches and allows young coaches the opportunity for hands-on learning and the ability to ask questions from the best. The clinic is free to any young coach who would like to attend.

Welcome to our new site. After years of feedback, we have changed to a main website only. This means we will no longer communicate through the Portal or Forum pages. The menu bar to the left will get most of the information that you need. The "Home" button, is what you are reading here. This is where we will post league information. The newest comments will appear at the top of the "Home" page, under anything that has been marked as a "sticky " item, and will be marked with a image. If a comment gets updated, it will maintain it's position in the list, but will be marked with an image.
